Sanomatalo is located in the very city centre, beside the railway station and adjacent to Postitalo. The striking 12-storey glass building was completed in 1999 for Sanoma’s editorial offices; the editorial teams of Helsingin Sanomat, Ilta-Sanomat and Taloussanomat occupy the upper floors. The two lowest floors are open to the public and offer rentable retail and exhibition spaces. These lower levels have been designed as a meeting place where city residents can gather for a coffee or take part in various events.
